Free Wi-Fi while you're waiting for your flight? Sounds like a great way to save money, and kudos to Google for offering it at many US airports during the holidays.

Yahoo! is also going to provide free Wi Fi in New York City's Time Square for NYC's tourists.

Wayport Acquisition Expands AT&T's Wi-Fi Footprint

AT&T said on Thursday that it was buying wi-fi provider Wayport for for approximately $275 million in cash. This acquisition will increase AT&T's wi-fi hotpot footprint from some 17,000 to about 20,000 nationwide. It will also up AT&T hotspot total to 80,000 (up from 70,000) globally.
