Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Music Director Andreas Delfs and President and Executive Director Mark C. Hanson announced plans today for the MSO’s 2008/09 season – the MSO’s 50th and Music Director Andreas Delfs’ 12th and final season as Music Director. The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra presents "Symphony on the Square", four free outdoor performances in Cathedral Square Park at 12 noon during the month of June with a bonus Arts in Community Education Family Day July 3. Lunch vendors will be on site for each concert, and audience members can participate in raffles and giveaways. The July 3 performance includes children's activities presented by local community partners.

Guest conductor Nicholas McGegan will lead the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in Deep & Playful January 25 and 26, 2008. The program features MSO Principal Clarinet Todd Levy in Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, and also includes John Adams' Chamber Symphony and Beethoven's Symphony No. 1. Police in Amery, Wisconsin say that they have arrested a former teacher's aide that used to work for Amery School District, charged with having sex with one of her 16 year old students. Brenda K. Baillargeon, if found guilty, will face more than six years in prison and a possible fine of not more than $10,000.
