Uzbekistan secured two gold medals at tonight wrestling finals, winning the lightest and the heaviest categories at 3-0. There were three Uzbeks wrestling in tonight's four finals, evidence of that country's dominance in the sport.

The wrestling will culminate with the biggest and best bout of the Games so far as the super heavyweights round off five days of fantastic mat action.

IR Iran scored a stunning victory with a clean sweep of the wrestling finals held at ASPIRE Hall four today, Wednesday 13 December. IR Iran took the gold in the 60kg, 74kg and the 96kg competitions. The Iranians had a second man fighting with them during every bout: the fans.

Three freestyle wrestling gold medals are up for grabs for the grapplers on the penultimate day of Doha 2006 wrestling, with IR Iran having a competitor in each of the finals as they go in search of their first wrestling gold of the Games.

Armenia's Greco-Roman wrestlers Vahan Juharyan (60kg), Arman Adikyan (66kg) and Arsen Julfalakyan (74kg) won gold medals in the Henry Delaney international memorial tournament that recently ended in Nice, France.
