Jubilee Theatre announces auditions for the final show of the 2007-2008 season, Ain’t Misbehavin’: The Fats Waller Musical Show based on an idea by Murray Horwitz and Richard Maltby, Jr. Ron Himes, Founder and Producing Director of the St. Louis Black Rep, will direct Jubilee Theatre’s production.

On February 16, 2008, nearly 100 paintings, watercolors and prints generated by a diverse group of creative individuals known as the Fort Worth Circle will be on view at the Amon Carter Museum in the special exhibition Intimate Modernism: Fort Worth Circle Artists in the 1940s. The exhibition presents an outstanding visual narrative of Texas' first colony of artists to practice an advanced aesthetic.

Modernist Sculpture Added To Amon Carter Museum Collection

The Amon Carter Museum has added a major work to its holdings of early 20th-century American sculpture: a bronze with brown patina and nickel plate entitled Woman Seated by Gaston Lachaise (1882–1935). The acquisition was supported by funds from The Council, a membership group that was established in 1988 to honor Amon G. Carter's vision as a collector.

Due to popular demand, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra has added a second date for Play! A Video Game Symphony. The second concert will take place at 8 p.m. Sunday, January 20 at Bass Performance Hall. Tickets are still available for the original concert date, on Saturday, January 19 also at Bass Performance Hall, but they are going fast.
