Tennessee Aquarium’s River Gorge Explorer Launches

An exciting new journey is about to launch at the Tennessee Aquarium. Visitors will soon have the opportunity to extend their Aquarium experience by venturing into the heart of “Tennessee’s Grand Canyon.” The River Gorge Explorer will transport as many as 70 passengers – up to five times daily - into the Gorge to experience this unspoiled stretch of the Tennessee River.

Monterey Bay Aquarium Releases 3rd White Shark

A young white shark on exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium for the past five months was tagged and returned to the wild. It marks the third time in four years that the aquarium has exhibited a white shark and then returned it to the wild.

Frog Exhibit Comes To Tennessee Aquarium

There is something lovable about frogs. Maybe it’s the way they stare at us with huge, unblinking eyes. Or it could be the way some species have slightly upturned mouths, making it appear as though they have smiles on their faces. Or maybe some frogs are just so icky, bumpy or gross they’re cool. Whatever the opinion, the Tennessee Aquarium hopes to inspire visitors to appreciate these natural wonders by opening a new frog exhibit featuring some brightly colored tropical frog species.

The Vancouver Aquarium unveiled new marmoset and bat exhibits in the Graham Amazon Gallery. The Aquarium is home to two different species of marmosets. Sesame, a four-year-old male, is a pygmy marmoset while Cindy, a three-year-old female, is a common marmoset.
