France 24 correspondence Jasper Mortimer from Ankara says that it is more likely that the issue of Nagorno Karabakh, to which Turkey wants to link the signature of protocols with Armenia has caused the delay. Turkey and Armenia abruptly postponed the signature of the protocols aimed at normalizing the relations.

The role of Red Cross Societies in rendering assistance to the Armenian refugees who suffered the Genocide is significant. One of the first organizations that responded to the Turkish violence was the American Red Cross. They set shelter camps in Armenia, particularly in Etchmiadzin and in other parts of the world meeting the genocide victims' needs fleeing from Turkey.

Armenia Says Turkey Obliged To Respect Genocide Survivos

On September 17, during the Iftar dinner, which the PM of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave to Turkish media editors-in-chiefs, he said Turkey would not open its border with Armenia without solution to Nagorno Karabakh problem. He also said that Armenia must be freed from the influence of the powerful diaspora. We asked the Armenian Foreign Ministry to comment on the above, which said that the Turkish PM's comments are not helpful to the process and that genocide survivors must be respected.

Talk Show Hosts Apologize For Armenian Genocide Comments

Earlier this week we published a story about a California based KFI 640 AM talk show host Bill Handel and his co-host Lara Hermanson making discriminatory comments about deporting the Armenian from California and making painful jokes about the Armenian Genocide. After the Armenian community raised its voice from all over the world, both of the hosts apologized today.

PM Admits Turkey Past Was "Facists"

In April Barack Obama failed to go the full distance and publicly - as President - call the Armeninian holocaust what it was: Genocide. Many human rights groups were dismayed and furious. But Obama went too far for Turkey which dubbed his remarks "unacceptable." Which makes is surprising that Turkey's PM has conceded that Turkey's past was "facist."
