You did a great job sending wonderful images of Mars and letting the humanity know more about the red planet. NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander has ceased communications after operating for more than five months.

Phoenix Mars Lander Detects Falling Snow On Mars

The U.S. space agency, NASA, says its Mars probe has detected snow falling high in the planet's atmosphere. NASA says the Phoenix Lander found the snow falling from clouds about four kilometers above the spacecraft's landing site.

NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter successfully received information from the Phoenix Mars Lander Tuesday evening and relayed the information to Earth. The relayed transmission included images and other data collected by Phoenix during the mission's second day after landing on Mars.

IBM today announced that Power Architecture will make a return to outer space as NASA plans to launch the Phoenix Mars Lander, its most sophisticated probe to date. The lander will head to the polar north of Mars where it will dig into the frozen surface in search of the building blocks of life.
