Three drug companies are racing to get approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to sell the next weight loss pill. Vivus, Orexigen and Arena are all trying to finalize studies and data to be able to submit their request for approval of their new weight loss medication. It appears that Vivus is ahead in the race to submit their new weight loss drug for approval.
