Channel 10's former meteorologist and anchorman Arthur E. Lake, died Sunday, November 22, 2009. Calling hours have been announced. Lake lived in Greenville, Rhode Island, and was surrounded by his family at the time of death. Art Lake was 85.

Hurricane Ida strengthened to a Category 2 storm on Sunday. A hurricane watch was extended to the Florida Panhandle as Ida made its way across the Gulf of Mexico. The hurricane watch now stretches from southeastern Louisiana to Mexico Beach, Florida.

NASA has documented many strange and halo looking clouds over various cities and Moscow is just another example. They are called Noctilucent clouds. However, they are relatively a new phenomenon.

The number of deaths is increasing, dozens of people are missing and communications are hampered after this devastating storm. The double-whammy caused by both the earthquake and tsunami have left a path of destruction and panic in the Samoa Islands.
