Thursday night fire destroyed one of Houston's premier furniture stores. Gallery Furniture was on fire, which consumed most of it. Thankfully no one was hurt from the Gallery Furniture family.

A wind-whipped wildfire, officially known as the Santa Barbara Tea Fire, has destroyed at least 100 homes and a college dormitory, injured four people and forced thousands to flee the longtime celebrity "community" of Montecito.

Westmont College Fire Update

A natural gas line has broken at the Westmont College, forcing the fire department to shut off natural gas to the college. This has brought down our generators. We have between 1/2 hour and 4 hours of UPS left, so may not be able to post further updates through the web site.
