 <description>A display of rare and lavishly decorated costumes and uniforms worn by the Tsars and court officials of Imperial Russia, most of which have never been &lt;strong&gt;exhibited&lt;/strong&gt; before either in Russia or abroad, will be shown for the first time at the V&amp;A this winter as part of an exchange between the V&amp;A and the Moscow Kremlin &lt;strong&gt;Museums&lt;/strong&gt;. The exhibition will be on view from 10 December 2008 to 2 March 2009.</description>

Now in its 19th year, the MUSE awards competition recognizes outstanding achievement in museum media. The competition is an activity of the Media and Technology Standing Professional Committee of the American Association of Museums (AAM).</description>

 <description>The Hirshhorn &lt;strong&gt;Museum&lt;/strong&gt; presents an &lt;strong&gt;exhibition&lt;/strong&gt; featuring 39 important artworks from the late 1960s and early 1970s that were recently acquired from Count Giuseppe Panza di Biumo, one of the world’s foremost collectors of American and European contemporary art. Composed of works by an international roster of 16 artists, this acquisition substantially strengthens the Hirshhorn’s holdings of art from this period.</description>

 <title>Smithsonian Museum Acquires Teakettle With Political Message</title>

 <description>The Smithsonian’s National &lt;strong&gt;Museum&lt;/strong&gt; of American History has acquired an early 19th century miniature copper teakettle that is engraved with artwork referencing the U.S. Embargo Act of 1807. The teakettle is believed to have been manufactured in Baltimore between 1807 and 1809. Embellished with vines, leaves and a flying bird, it has a gooseneck spout, a swing handle and a lid with a brass finial. Phrases, words, letters and Masonic symbols are inscribed on the piece.</description>

Black Line expresses (in the artist’s words) “the feeling of womanhood and joie de vivre” and is filled with “all the possibilities of a woman in her 30s”—the age of Keseru at the time she created it.</description>
