Philippines Hit by 4th Typhoon

Typhoon Mirinae, with winds of 93 miles per hour and gusts of up to 115, hit the Quezon Province northeast of Manila around midnight Friday. This was the 4th typhoon to hit the Phillipines in the past several weeks. By Saturday, the typhoon in Phillipines was down graded to a tropical storm. So far, there are 14 people dead and four missing as a result of Typhoon Mirinae.

Television images showed several houses and cars being swept by swollen rivers and clusters of people on the roofs of their homes in the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Ketsana that hit the main island of Luzon. As of early Sunday, the death toll from the typhoon stood at 52 with more than 20 others missing and feared dead.

Panglao Nature Resort is located on the Philippines 10th largest island just southeast of Cebu. Not only is Bohol the home to the world's smallest monkey but it also has some of the most beautiful beaches on the planet. My personal favorite is Panglao Island Nature Resort's white sand beach.
